Bring the excitement of hands-on learning to your classroom with the Lincoln Children’s Museum! Our education team offers two engaging off-site programs designed to spark curiosity and expand young minds. 

Museum to You:  This option includes all necessary curriculum and supplies needed, along with LCM educator(s) to lead the activities.
Exhibit Learning Kit: Available for weekly check out, this program also provides all necessary curriculum and supplies, but is facilitated by your own educators. Exhibits are picked up and returned to the museum.

Both programs are perfect for childcare centers, after-school programs, and PLC days, ensuring a fun and educational experience for all.

RUNZA

 

 

Welcome to Runza, can I take your order?!  This imaginative play set focuses on building early math and social-emotional skills through dramatic play. Pretend Runza sandwiches, hamburger components, french fries and onion rings along with menu and math practice cards make this a great addition to any preschool classroom.

DINOSAUR BONES

A system of geometric shapes that make colorful creations, combining math and art.

      

Make wonderful and colorful creations while learning geometry! These open-ended colorful pieces can be used to build polyhedron, Platonic solids, pentagonal pyramids, and more. These pieces can be used independently or in team settings. For preschool, elementary, and middle school classrooms, as well as childcare centers that serve school-age children.

KEVA

An engaging inclusive tool that can be incorporated into any subject 

      

KEVA planks are great for making history come alive by building pyramids, castles and cityscapes.They can be used as manipulatives in counting, teaching units of measure and  principles of cantilever and balance. They foster team building, creativity and imagination. For preschool, elementary, and middle school classrooms, as well as childcare centers that serve school-age children.

 

Each block is the same size (5/16″x7/8″x4 5/8″) and support AASL Standards, Ready Library Standards, and ISTE Standards.

Backyard Bugs

Crawl, hop, march! In this basic introduction to insects and arachnids, students use their budding math and science skills to observe, sort, classify and compare these creepy crawly creatures. Students will be exposed to new vocabulary as they examine these larger-than-life bugs and learn the characteristics of our six- and eight-legged friends.

LEGO Brick Challenge

Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork skills with this program! Children will work individually or in small groups to complete various building challenges using LEGO bricks. These challenges may include building towers, bridges, vehicles, and other structures, all while incorporating specific design elements or themes. The program aims to promote STEM learning and inspire children to think outside the box while having fun and developing important skills.

Out of this World

Journey through outer space, exploring the wonders of our universe! Through fun and engaging activities, children will learn about the planets and stars, and galaxies that make up our universe. They will also discover how astronauts live and work in space, and what it takes to become an astronaut. With captivating visuals and age-appropriate explanations, “Out of this World” is sure to inspire young minds and ignite their curiosity about the universe around us.
