education
beyond exhibits
Looking to engage a young mind and help them unlock the joy of learning? At the Museum, Learn supports children being able to cognitively understand something they were unfamiliar with before through new educational opportunities.
learn events
lcm little learners
Each one hour session rooted in play showcases music, art and creativity, along with social interaction for young children and time for play in exhibits — all while the Museum is closed to the public! These educator-led sessions are an opportunity to strengthen each little one’s fine and gross motor skills as well as expose them to new experiences with children similar in age. Sample experiences include cooking, yoga, and dance.
field trips
Lincoln Children’s Museum is a fun and educational destination for field trips at any time of the year! Public and private schools, homeschools and licensed childcare programs may take advantage of the Museum’s field trip program.
Field trips last two-hours with the opportunity to extend this time and reserve a space for lunch.
camps
Camps at the Lincoln Children’s Museum are not only a great value and conveniently located for many parents in Downtown Lincoln, but they provide quality STEAM-based programming. While children have access to the 23,000+ sq. ft of exhibit space throughout the day, most of camp is spent in our top-secret camp PLAY space, designed just for making messes and lasting memories.
offsite programs
Let your class experience the power of hands-on play with the Lincoln Children’s Museum! Our education team leads learning opportunities throughout the community with hands-on interactive activities designed to expand brains and ignite the sense of wonder. Outreach and education activities can include after school programs, PLC days, or even visits to childcare programs.
scouts at the museum
Our staff can create an experience your troop won’t forget around unique activities. All scouts are welcome to contact us to learn more and design your own scout or group experience.
